We love the viral video from HeartThreads that tells the story of a Texas police officer calming down a nervous child. He let the boy sit in his patrol car and gave him a tour of the police department. The best part? That boy wants to be a police officer when he grows up now! Recently, we got a request from a Monrovia mom to have an officer from Monrovia Police visit 5-year old Micah for his birthday. He loves the Monrovia Police and wants to be a police officer when he grows up. Luckily, calls for service were low and the entire day shift officers were able to make an appearance and wish him a happy birthday! They even brought a few small gifts purchased by the MPOA. This is what achieving community trust is all about!

Our brothers and sisters in blue may not normally wear capes on the job, but the Austin Police Department did when they dressed up as superheroes at their local children’s medical center. Our country has struggled with the balance of political correctness, maintaining civil rest and protecting those who protect our communities.
